St. Paul, Kansas City Crews Exhibit at DAX

Midwest was among 60-plus companies exhibiting at the 2010 Minneapolis Decorated Apparel Expo (DAX) March 12-13.

Midwest displayed an M&R i-Dot, Brother GT-541, Roland VP-540i and two heat presses. Our St. Paul sales reps manned the booth, and Randy Bressler of M&R and Bill Sween from Brother were also on hand to talk with attendees and answer questions about their equipment.

Midwest-Kansas City exhibited at their DAX show March 26-27. The Midwest-KC sales staff was in the booth showcasing the Roland VP-540i using Chemica transfer material and the Brother GT-541 direct-to-garment printer to attendees from Missouri, Kansas City, Nebraska, Iowa, Illinois and Oklahoma.

Both shows kept everyone pretty busy, with customers and prospects of all kinds—from the mom-and-pop to the large automated textile shop. This show provided great opportunities to connect with our current customers as well as reach out to potential new customers.

New Berlin, Kansas City, Omaha Host Seminars

New Berlin drew 25 customers to their “Topics ‘n’ Ts” seminar on Thursday, March 11^th.

Union Ink’s Mike Ukena discussed ink matching systems, special effects inks and more. Attendees who paid in advance received Union Ink kits worth $200.

Both Kansas City and Omaha held sign building seminars, on Tuesday, March 16^th and Thursday, March 18^th, respectively.

Speakers from McGill Marketing, Allanson and 3M took attendees through the cabinet sign assembly process during “Sign Building Start to Finish: Creating Eye-Catching Cabinet Signs in Three Easy Steps.”

All three seminars were well-received by those who attended; Wisconsin’s attendees were impressed by Mike’s extensive product knowledge, while the Missouri and Nebraska customers found McGill’s sign cabinet assembly demonstration very useful for their business needs.

Midwest Welcomes New Branch Manager for Mountain States

Todd Benbow is Midwest’s new Branch Manager for the Mountain States territory, which includes Denver and Salt Lake City. Benbow graduated from Metropolitan State College of Denver with a B. A. in Industrial Design and brings more than a decade of sign and screen print industry sales experience.
